The origin of The Crowd comes from Luke chapter 18. There was a blind man sitting by the roadside when Jesus approached Jericho. The scripture says in verses 36 and 37, “When he heard The Crowd going by, he asked what was happening. They told him, Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.” The Bible says that the man began to cry out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” It was the excitement of The Crowd that caught the attention of the blind man. It was the direction of The Crowd that caused the blind man to turn his attention to Jesus.
The vision of The Crowd is to become the training ground with a holistic approach to spiritual growth for every young person of every ethnicity within reach of Northside Church. Furthermore, our desire is to be a place where students can come and grow in their relationship with God through discipleship, worship, collective and independent study of the Bible and clear messages from God’s Word.
Our mission is to create an environment where students can experience the power of God, learn the Word of God and walk in authority with God.
